Depends on your budget, start saving now so you dont get frazzled by not having enough, if you plan on driving just make sure your car is reliable to make the trip. I am only going IF my car is done in time.

Figure about 2-3 tank fulls each way, depends on how and what you drive. Add tolls,

$50 a night if two people are sharing a room, $35 if 3 people or $25 if 4 people in the room.

If you take the PA turnpike for NJ To the OH turnpike to cleveland you are look at about $35 in tolls maybe a little less, or you can take 80 across the top of PA which has some good twists and turn. I think there are no tolls 80

No tolls on 80, i live right off of it. But i believe that 80 in some parts of Ohio is tolls. Cant remember for sure. The convention is less than 3 hrs for me

...question the status quo...

Yeah there is one toll but it depends on where you get off I think it is like $4 for getting off in cleveland.
