I thought he quoted this. Meh. My brain is marbles today.

My brain too. That is my favorite style Maxima, auto seatbelts aside, and that blue is perfect. Almost bought a red one for the wife back in'97, but she wasn't ready for a family sedan. If this one were only a manual...

Ya, if that were manual, I would seriously consider buying that Maxima. . . .

I'd still opt for the next gen one for that price. Isn't it the same motor?

No, the next gen was a POS with a beam in it. Each and every tech that saw them when they came out agreed to such a conclusion in 1995 when they got them in the dealership. At least that was the general consensus of the dealership I was at when I was 11 years young crushing oil filters on weekends.

This chassis has IRS and a totally different car. Just like B13 vs B14. A totally different car aka chassis with similarly installed parts. e.g. engine, front suspension, electronics, etc....

And to answer your question, no they have different engines. The VG vs VQ and then "30DE" followed for both prefixes in most Maxima SE Models. Some had a SOHC engine also I think.

Yup, B13 vs B14 in Maxima clothing. B13, period.
