Need Some help! Car not starting..
I've replaced the starter. I can hear the clutch inhibit relay clicking. I tred putting a jumper wire in the clutch switch and also tried a screwdriver across the terminals on the starter and i could hear the bendix kick out. Idk what else to check. anyone have any other ideas?

its not a fuse. I turn the key to the on position and everything in the car turns on. When I bump the key all the way to start it the starter will do nothing 99 times out of 100. I hooked a wire up to the starter and was going to install a push button start but when I have the key in the on position and touch the wire to the battery I can hear the starter spin but it sounds like the bendix is not kicking out to spin the flywheel and the fans come on for a second then cut off. Anybody have any ideas? I am at a loss..

I had similar symptoms once so I replaced the starter. Turns out the positive battery cable was corroded internally and slowly failed.

Sounds like a defective stater . Autozone brand ? Or used ? Check and make sure you have 12v at the starter not on the ign wire . And also check what Monkey said . G/L

I found the problem, well sort of. I have a short somewhere that is draining the battery when the car is off. Now I just have to find the short. Thanks to everyone who replied! I appreciate the help.

your fans shouldnt be turning on when the car starts. That can only mean that your temp gauge sensor came off or broke..... unrelated to the starter tho
