Thread: YAY!!! Blown turbo!

Well turbo's done. Pretty sure the center bearing is compromised. Oh well. Luckily Matt (bobo) hooked me up with a T25, so now it's just about getting the new one installed. Shouldn't be more than a week or two.

how you blow it? aren't you running a low boost type setup?

Not sure...guessing it's just worn out you know? I guess it's not really 'blown' by some standards...but it's not good. It's making a terrible, terrible, noise.

And low boost...not sure what you mean by that. I mean it's a stock turbo, 14psi.

Yeah Adam has been running it at peak since he got it IIRC. It was doomed from the start.

i ran 19 psi on my ve-t on a gtir t28 by mistake on the way to work one time. that was scary fast! i didn't think you were running a crap load of boost.

I was running 20psi on my t25 for a while....but I just got something bigger before I blew it
