I've got a B13/14 hybrid tranny in my backyard. The LSD and 5th gear were bad on my B13 so I swapped over the B14 LSD and good 5th gear and used the B14 case for the crankshaft position sensor opening. I upgraded to a P11 so this one is extra. If you want it, let me know man.

I have a trans that is cracked sitting around. The internals are all perfect on the inside. I stuffed rags in the shaft holes to keep them clear of debris. The outer shell of the trans is cracked. Let me know if it can help you at all.

I always fix the existing transmission. It is usually cheaper unless you can get a good deal on a transmission and you'll know for sure that you won't get 5th gear pop-out again. Getting a used transmission to me seems like a stupid fix because you never know unless you open it up if it will develop 5th gear pop-out on you.

You don't need the entire Courtesy pop-out kit. That's way more than you need to spend.

Correct. The new 5th gear was designed and produced I think as early as 1994 but there doesn't seem to be any guarantee that transmissions from in 1994 or even 1995 or 1996 have the new part. It's like they offered the new part for sale to repair transmissions with but kept building new transmissions with the old stock until it ran out.
