in all honestly lest and adamn what the point of spending all this energy on getting a meet done and then only a couple of peeps show up? if we are going to have a meet i want alot of people to come like the one i had in grace and the first one we had at adams park. everyone needs to stop flaking out. people bring food and supplys according to the list and when half the list does not even show up lots of things go to waste.
im kind of dissapointed to be reall. sorry for the bitch fit but its just annoying i guess..
im glad that all the people that did come were all new commers. hopefully the next meet will have all you guys plus the regularsYou're right Jen. But, you know what? I like the planned meets. Even if a ton of people don't show up. Mainly because you get to talk to everyone more. I mean, sure it's fun when there's a lot of people too...but then you spend most of the freakin' day just talking to new people, or greating people. What's the fun in that? I had fun Sunday. And meets like that, where it's not overwhelming are cool.

We may need to have a mass PM & E mail or text go out to everyone once the final thread is produced. It would be good if we could get a weekly wrench meet going as these tend to build interest and increase meet turnouts. If you think about it every meet that was large was preceded by us hooking up on a regular bases to work on our cars. We haven't done that lately and this turn out seems to have been small.I like the mass e-mail/txt idea. Which, in fact, is why I started the Mid-A contacts thread. But you're right as well...people can't get to meets if their cars don't work, and that's understandable. But I don't think this means we can't have little get-togethers at parks. No, there isn't going to be much wrenching going on...but, there's food, hanging out, usually some kind of sports, and hell...we were even playing Sega on my computer Sunday. I got my ass handed to me in Tecmo Super Bowl (Jensen, keep your mouth shut lol) and Kenny (one of the Spec V guys) helped me out with Mega Man. Even Lester's fiancee played some.
Come on guys...don't give up on the little meets. Obviously the little meets at someone's house are fun...but think of them as two different things. One's a meet, the other is like a tech day.
Anyway, I'll be planning the next meet at the begining of next summer... And Les, you're right about the Labor Day thing...but it can be around then still.
