Allot of things factor into getting participation, such as cars working which really effects turnout greatly. If wrenching (minor) can be done at meets it may increase interest as well. I also noticed that allot of peeps did not even post in this thread at all and I wonder if they even knew about it. We may need to have a mass PM & E mail or text go out to everyone once the final thread is produced. It would be good if we could get a weekly wrench meet going as these tend to build interest and increase meet turnouts. If you think about it every meet that was large was preceded by us hooking up on a regular bases to work on our cars. We haven't done that lately and this turn out seems to have been small.

in all honestly lest and adamn what the point of spending all this energy on getting a meet done and then only a couple of peeps show up? if we are going to have a meet i want alot of people to come like the one i had in grace and the first one we had at adams park. everyone needs to stop flaking out. people bring food and supplys according to the list and when half the list does not even show up lots of things go to waste.

im kind of dissapointed to be reall. sorry for the bitch fit but its just annoying i guess..

im glad that all the people that did come were all new commers. hopefully the next meet will have all you guys plus the regulars
You're right Jen. But, you know what? I like the planned meets. Even if a ton of people don't show up. Mainly because you get to talk to everyone more. I mean, sure it's fun when there's a lot of people too...but then you spend most of the freakin' day just talking to new people, or greating people. What's the fun in that? I had fun Sunday. And meets like that, where it's not overwhelming are cool.

I like the mass e-mail/txt idea. Which, in fact, is why I started the Mid-A contacts thread. But you're right as well...people can't get to meets if their cars don't work, and that's understandable. But I don't think this means we can't have little get-togethers at parks. No, there isn't going to be much wrenching going on...but, there's food, hanging out, usually some kind of sports, and hell...we were even playing Sega on my computer Sunday. I got my ass handed to me in Tecmo Super Bowl (Jensen, keep your mouth shut lol) and Kenny (one of the Spec V guys) helped me out with Mega Man. Even Lester's fiancee played some.

Come on guys...don't give up on the little meets. Obviously the little meets at someone's house are fun...but think of them as two different things. One's a meet, the other is like a tech day.

Anyway, I'll be planning the next meet at the begining of next summer... And Les, you're right about the Labor Day thing...but it can be around then still.

there was wrenching going on. my man needed his belts changed but i forgot to bring my tools so i couldnt do it for him. and it so happens nobody else had tools for me to work with, and noah radio hasnt worked in months and i fixed it in 5 minutes when nobody else could.

if you car does not work so what. we all know what you drive and love to mod. the cars do not make the meet the people do. theres no excuse. you may not want to come because you car is not done but who cares its about the people in the end. lester hosted the meet and he does not even have a sr20 powerd car!!!! i know some people have ligit reason like joel. sunday is his family day and i dont expect him to not spend time with his family for a meet.( maybe you can bring them along next time for a lil while!.

i had fun meeting everyone i really did. adamn you can no longer play any game in front of me since it seems you cant take smack talk to well lmao!! n e who i would like to see some old G's come out to the next meet.

Ha ha, I can take the smack talk all day. But I'll never play a game in front of you again because that's the only time I ever got beat like that at Tecmo Bowl.

And yeah, you're right about the people making the meet. You don't have to bring your SR, hell...you don't even have to HAVE an SR...look at the spec guys. Not to mention Les. We're all a big Nissan family.

Car meets and BBQ's DON'T go hand in hand. When you have meets, the only thing that needs to be brought is alcohol, and designated drivers to shuttle people to their home/hotel. If you want to have a BBQ, have a BBQ, not a car meet.

When we have meets, we'll either go out to dinner as a group, or we'll order pizza for whoever happens to be there at the time. Always 100% success.

Food for thought Don't you guys worry your heads though, I'll soon have a house with enough space for everyone to park in the front yard
