Thread: Friday Night Under the Lights

If it IS raining, a dude from cumberland (little ways west from me) asked me to come hang out out there with them. But the chance of rain is significantly lower than I originally saw...so it looks like I'm going to at least give the track a shot.

Well, I'm definitely going. But I don't think I'll be running...in fact, I'm not. I need brake pads, and I don't feel safe...nor do I think I'll pass tech. So Joel, unless you've got some extra (free ) pads that you want to bring and help me slap on...it looks like I'll just be watchin' you run. Can't wait to see what that beast does though.

Joel, I'm so glad you decided to come. Sucks about your nephew's car...

Anyway, I decided, after much debate, to run my SE-R. Fastest pass of the evening, 13.94 @ 102MPH. 2.26 - 60ft. I'm very happy with it. I mean with street tires, and a full interior...I'm satisfied. I was just hoping that I would get into the 13's, and I did. I also wasn't launching really...I guess on my fast time, I did a little, but even then, I didn't leave very hard. Just punched it in first once I got rolling.My first run was a weak 14.4...but I rolled out in first gear real slow.

Anyhow, I'm pretty satisfied with how she performed considering it's a DD.

I had alot of fun at the track and hanging out with you guys. I was having a bad bad wheel hop issue and didnt want to break my car an hour away from home.I have a ve se-r thats prety fast but I only got a 14.3 but last year I got a 13.9 spining realy bad.

Yeah Craig, it was awesome meeting you. Sucked that we had to put in my other trans yesterday...all though, we DID get it in, and running in 3hrs...in a driveway, on jack-stands!!!

man if i go to the track i know im going to break a axle. my driver side axle that joel gave me is already starting to click.. damn it
