SR20-Forum, Mid-A Spring meet. 5/30/09!!! (Discussion Thread)
Where: Alpha Ridge Park
When: May 30th
Time: 11am til Dark not sure what time Adam/Rob plan to get there
Directions: County: Howard. I-95N to Rt 32 west to Rt 29 North to I-70 west. Take exit 83 (Marriottsville Rd) and turn R onto Marriottsville Rd, at the second traffic light, turn L onto Rt 99 (Old Frederick Rd). The park will be approximately 0.8 mi on your left. From I-70 east: follow I-70 east to the Rt 40 east exit. Turn L at the first traffic light onto Marriottsville Rd. Turn L at the second traffic light, onto Rt 99 (Old Frederick Rd); the park will be on your left.

From 695 take 70 and follow above directions.
From 32 heading west you can actually stay straight and make a Right onto 99 (Old Fredrick Rd.) 1/4 mile or so park will be on your right.



Memorial Day is Monday though...wouldn't most people be celebrating on the 23rd? Oh, and Keo, it'll be "official" tomorrow, when the poll ends. Although I doubt it's going to change in a day...I don't think there's anyone else left to vote. So, for all intents and purposes, yes...the meet will be on the 30th.

I'm waiting for a call back from the Department of Parks and Recreations about renting the pavillion.

I just talked to the Park people and the pavillion is $155 to rent from 10a until dusk. I went ahead and got the paper work for renting it...I have two weeks to confirm.

Alpha Ridge Park

Meet hosted by Adam (yours truely) and Rob (robchaos).

Alright guys, I know the poll doesn't end until tomorrow...but I don't thinkt he results are going to change.

So, let's start the discussion thread.

Everyone coming, please add your name to the list here. Just copy/paste it, and add something that you are bringing. Everyone should plan on bringing one food item. We can break it down so that someone is in charge of drinks only, chips only, burgers only, buns...etc etc. Someone should also be in charge of charcoal, and someone else in charge of ice. If you don't want to bring anything, bring a couple bucks.*

So, add your name and what you would like to bring, or how you'll be contributing.

Also, I'd like to add; if this date conflicts with a significant number of people's plans...we'll do what we can to change it. I haven't fully booked the pavillion yet...I have it tentatively for two weeks before I have to decide, so there is a cushion. But any later, and it's becoming a Summer Meet lol. Anywho, let's make this happen.


*We will accept (We are not ASKING FOR, but will accept) monitary donations towards the cost of the pavillion rental, which is $155.00. If you would like to help out with the cost of the rental, please see me or Rob...your efforts are MUCH appreciated.
