boost time
Well, I've been sitting on the motor for a while now, and I've decided that its about time to get things rolling on my NX.
The motor is sitting up at my work, but I figured I could at least get started on mounting the intercooler and figuring out the piping.
Here is what I have so far:

I have a really small hawker dry cell racing battery that will be going where that monstrosity is, so I will have more room for the MAF and IC piping, and I will be removing the AC as well.

Also will be running 2 pusher fans in front of the rad with no AC condensor for more clearance.

Keep your AC. When you need it you need it. The MAF is too close to the tb the way its mocked up. I have mine blow through and its much better with recirc; less pops and lag. ymmv.

I know it will be a good setup.

My AC hasn't worked since I've bought the car anyways. T tops are more then enough for me.Measured using string and it is 8-9" from MAF to TB. here is a picture off the car [img][/IMG]
If I have to change it I am sure I can figure something out.

blow-thru needs 12" maf-tb iirc. A str8 shot before and after is best. turbulence will fuk wit it. Thats my experience.

yeah I see. I will have to figure out a way to run it kind of like a CAI behind the fenderwheel and then to the IC. I will probably play around with it more tomorrow.

looks like I will be starting out with draw through. Not enough IC piping that is straight to do blow through. Oh well. Easier to setup drawthrough anyways.

just set it up and arrange access to a welder. You can short-route a blow-through and have the MAF reading true.

Its a mixmatch of 2 and 2.5" piping. I'm making do with what I have because I am out of car money, I got some big stuff coming up that will ensure that I won't have play money for a while but I should have more then enough to run a draw through setup. A recirc fitting for the HKS SSQV is like $15 so I will be alright.
