Need help repairing rust.
This winter I'd like to start tackling all of my rust issues on the egg, or there is going to be no point in keeping this car, which I really need to, because I can't afford to buy another car or another shell (plus I love my baby). I also can't afford to pay a shop who is going to fix it right.
I have never done this before. I understand the process of what generally needs to be done, but I do not have any experience at all, especially with welding which is a skill that must be learned.
I need some hands on guidance. I want to do most of the work, so anyone who does decide to help me can be assured that I'm not going to be that guy who just stands back and let's you do everything. You can all ask Jensen about that, he can vouch for me.
I'm also not looking for perfection. I've never been big on making my car look totally awesome and pretty. I don't have the skill or money to be able to have a car like that. I'm more concerned with performance.
I have no idea if I can give any sort of compensation for your time, but I will do what I can. I will be getting a raise this next year, so chances are good.
Obviously, this is mainly going to have to take place at Jensen's shop since I live in an apt complex. I don't know if they have bought new welding equipment yet or not since the last stuff was stolen. So, if you have your own welding equipment, awesome, if not I think I can get some.
Hit me up with a PM if you think you can help.
Thanks guys!
