I'm making around 650whp with my car and the standard gears don't last too long there. I run low boost on the street which is around 550whp and they seem to last a lot longer. I figured with a stronger set it should hold with no problem. If we could get something to hold around 600 to 700 we should be good. Most of the cars here make around 400 to 500 turbo and 200 to 300 NA. I wouldn't mind straight cut gears cause I don't stay in those gears long enough for the noise to bother me. I installed a straight cut 3rd gear set on a pulsar gtir and it's really not that bad.

If you're looking for something that will handle anything over 600whp, the cost of the gears go up significantly due to cost of materials and the type of processing/treatment required.

For 3rd/4th, you would be looking at a $1500 gear set (sub 500whp would be around $800)

We would need at least 10 confirmed buyers to proceed

I said I'd be interested earlier in the thread but at $1500, I'll have to pass for now. Having a baby...

Just a question, if we get to do stronger 3rd and 4th gear, can how much would it cost on getting custom gear ratio for those 2 gears? Say something like 3rd gear to 1.456 and 4th gear to 1.200?

i thought that the main problem with 3rd blowing, is there really isnt a good way to keep the shafts close, & with excessive tq. the shafts seperate a bit, which leads to the failure of 3rd?

so a stronger gear may help a bit, but will not "solve" the reall issue

You can choose any gear ratios you want and we can make them (we need all 10 confirmed buyers to confirm the same ratios though)
