Bryan is a licensed racing driver and HPDE instructor. He has extensive experience with the FWD VLSD behavior at the limit and would be able to install and test the prototype in his B13 VLSD transmission (installed in his P10). Testing for fitment should be easy, as well as road testing and track testing. Bryan is at the race track enough to get a good test in soon. Drag racing testing can be arranged as well, however keep in mind his car right now is close to stock output.

If it matters, I will also likely be present for some or all of the installation, measuring, instrumentation, and testing because I live close and I'm a curious fellow.

Hopefully Bryan will chime in soon and people are amicable to the idea.

@MFactory I am absolutely down to test this unit. The VLSD unit in my current B13 trans has seen better days, but my old one was in great shape (until the diff bearings went) so I can make a good personal comparison between the characteristics of the this unit vs. the factory one. I will be pulling my trans in the next couple of weeks for a new clutch plus input shaft bearings and I can install the unit for testing at that time. What sort of testing are you guys looking for?

If you are interested in having me test this unit, please contact me via email at midlandsmotorworks@gmail.com

ding ding, we have a winner. let the pictures and info roll....

Thanks, guys.

Any notes on installation would be amazing. I have casually followed diff discussions on SE-R forums of activity for over 15 years, and never, ever read anything about how to do it other than "Youse gotta shim it, but I knowse this guy who does it for me."

Great news!
MFactory: will be possible to get new bearings from your side?
Bhowle: really appreciate you will do it for us.... When you expect to test this unit?

We're trying to source the bearings just now. Driver side is fine, but the Passenger side is proving difficult. The set is still going to cost well over $100 though, as for some reason, they are damn expensive

Received the prototype yesterday, here are a couple of pics!

I am waiting on the bearings to come in from the dealer and then I will install it and post a review. I am very excited to see how it performs!

Please go ahead with the tests!

I'm interested in the install process and fitment, and for use, DRAG Racing.

@MFactory, if I see this at @bhowle's shop tomorrow I'm going to want to disassemble it and take pictures. I assume this is kosher? Any specific instructions for re-assembly? Torque specs maybe? Any use of thread locker?

Case bolts are around 65lb's, but they are tightened with Loctite Red, so if you do take it apart, be very careful not to snap the bolts
