Clutch-type, maybe instead? (think NISMO unit) You can pre-load how and when it engages, you drag racing fellas can surely appreciate that! I can't argue the plethora of good results gained from the Honda helical unit, but maybe my personal agenda is taking over tactful advice.

Honestly, anything would be better than our tired old units right about now. May have to wait though because I have funds going to a different area of the motor right now.

... is there any step forward? Is there anybody who will test the prototype of 32V helical LSD?

I may have been able to do this but my P11 is down right now due to a broken coilover and I don't see me getting my new coilover's for a little while.

Front or rear? There's a guy on here selling BN Tein rears for cheap.

If you have a deposit down, you don't need to buy the prototype, no

I could test it, but here's why I probably shouldn't be the one.

- The engine in the rally car is currently a stock engine with about 185K of hard, hard use on it, and has the power of a geriatric hamster, with asthma.
- The higher power engine is nearly ready, but will probably still only put ~200hp to the ground, sowhere near what some of the turbo guys are pushing, and it'll need a lot of tuning.
- I'd need my sample OEM diff & ring gear back since this design re-uses part of the stock unit (though you could just send the prototype pre-attached to my OEM parts and toss in your 4.78 FD setup.... )
- The ground here is covered with snow and ice. While that's a good test of certain aspects of the HLSD, it's again, not going to prove anything about the durability.
- I'll be out of town for a week mid-next month which would delay things somewhat.
