I could test it, but here's why I probably shouldn't be the one.
- The engine in the rally car is currently a stock engine with about 185K of hard, hard use on it, and has the power of a geriatric hamster, with asthma.
- The higher power engine is nearly ready, but will probably still only put ~200hp to the ground, sowhere near what some of the turbo guys are pushing, and it'll need a lot of tuning.
- I'd need my sample OEM diff & ring gear back since this design re-uses part of the stock unit (though you could just send the prototype pre-attached to my OEM parts and toss in your 4.78 FD setup....
)
- The ground here is covered with snow and ice. While that's a good test of certain aspects of the HLSD, it's again, not going to prove anything about the durability.
- I'll be out of town for a week mid-next month which would delay things somewhat.
