New Product! Mazworx mechanical timing chain tensioner
Our new SR timing chain tensioner. This new developed unit aides from factory timing chain tensioners from breaking due to stiffer valve springs and does not need oil pressure to activate it. This unit functions just like an OEM tensioner but it is much stronger and reliable than the factory OEM unit.

When installing bigger cams and stiffer valve springs, it causes excessive wear and sometimes causes the chain to stretch much more prematurely.

I would love to get something like this, but will it clear the highport/lowport oil filter location?

Probably needs a lock washer as well (?) but another great product and will get one of these pending some guinea pig test results.

How do you adjust it? (Procedure for getting the correct chain tension)

With the DE, it will come with shorter adjustment bolt. The VE clears with no problem.

No lock washer. There is a jam nut on it. This has already been tested and used on many of our race motors. We just never made them in bulk qty to sell to the public.

You will loosen the jam nut and turn the adjustment bolt. Once you get the tension you need on the chain (about a 1/4") and take the slack off, you tighten the jam nut. Pretty simple and instructions will be included.

I need a new tensioner for my engine. Its a highport de. Would this be a good replacement over stock. I have cams and full bolt ons. It only cost a tiny bit more than the oem replacement
