Bell housing still needs to be sent in for machining i'm guessing?

Does the adapter bolt to the motor and the bellhousing bolt to the adapter, or are you welding the adapter plate to the QR bellhousing?

Is there anyway to take a few mm off the bellhousing without sacrificing structural strength so that the frame doesn't need to be notched as much? (b13 fitment is VERY tight from what i hear)

I'm very interested in the kit as a whole. Hope to be doing business with you soon.

Yes, you will have to send the bellhousing in for machining to make up the thickness of the adapter plate, plus we machine new dowel pin locations.

This damn tranny is YUMMY! EXACTLY what I want!!!! At highway speeds, in 6th gear, you're cruising at around 2krpm!!!!! DELICIOUS!

just as long as you get the 04-above trans. Much better gearing for turbo. The 02-03 trans is a good trans for n/a use.

But yeah you could literally be at 80mph at around 2500 rpm's, Can we say 45mpg with a good tune. hahaha I would really consider doing this. I will have to see how much this whole kit comes out to when its all done and ready to go.

Any one know the power that the 6speeds are capable of holding?.... More than P11?

The GTIR and Bluebird bloc share 2 of the 3 holes from the DE and VE block.

If the you are using the same 3 original bolt holes from a VE - DE block that the factory axle bracket uses then your bracket should work.

When we use DET and GTIR blocks we use the factory DE bracket and bolt it up with 2 bolts instead of the 3.

Don't you also modify the block by welding in a perch for the 3rd bolt? I remember reading that somewhere.

A quick read through this thread can tell you an estimate of about 500whp.

You can also check out some Spec-v forums and see how much they're holding. They typically make 30-40 more lb-ft per 100 (depending on the tune/turbo kit) than we do (sr's) but we can rev higher and break less.

I've seen one hold ~350whp no problem beat on all the time. I'm sure these transmissions have much more than that though.

We used the same 2 doweled holes on the block, but we didn't use the 3rd hole to the right because it interferred with the bearing bracket. So we used the 2 holes farther right to that. I have a few customers that are interested in the kit using bluebird blocks, so we will get something together for those customers.
