How to Make a Mount for Cell Phone
Ok I don't know if someone has posted anything like this yet and its helped me out so I figured I'd share.

I got tired of holding my phone while i flipped through music, which takes my hand off the wheel and my eyes off the road (a lot further than just a glance). Also when I used Google Maps I'd try to put it in front of the gauge cluster but after a few bumps in the road it would fall. I wanted a mount that could work in any of my cars and not cost a bunch of doll hairs.

So I searched my house for something I could make a quick mount for my cell phone out of to solve this issue. Well heres what I came up with.

What you'll need
-1 Large Sized Binder Clip
-Rubber band
-Pair of pliers (or access to something like a vice to make things easier)
-Electrical tape or anything to cover the clips "arms" to prevent scratching your phone

FIRST:
Take the "arms" of the binder clip off

SECOND:
Bend said "arms" with either a pair of pliers, or what I did was put the top of the arms in my work bench vice and tap down on them with a rubber mallet till they were bent to my specifications. Little easier on the hands and saves you some elbow grease.

THIRD:
Wrap the bent tip of each "arm" in electrical tape, cloth or whatever you have available so that its protected from scratching the side of the phone. If its a rubbery material, it will also help grip it a little better and keep the phone from sliding out. As you can see the image below shows cloth, i however chose electrical tape since i have a big phone and wanted the extra grip.

FOURTH:
After putting the clip back together, slide your rubber bands around the "arms" making it tight, but not to tight as to where you can't open the "arms". (This is mine with the electrical tape)

FIFTH:
Just find a place to clip it in your car, slide the phone in and ENJOY! It can also work as a little kick stand to sit your phone up on your desk. Landscape clipped to the vent is how I use it mostly. The second is a quick portrait example clipped to the cup holder (this one is prob better off for automatics) and as a kickstand on my desk.

Do it up, can't go wrong with free. Found it all in some office supplies. Could prob come up with something that looks little more appealing, but you dont really see it so I wasnt to worried about it. Plus it's small enough to just pop in the ash tray or something when I'm not using it.
