Just ordered me a set of these for Christmas to illuminate these dark country roads better. Gotta question though for those who have done this:

Do you think it is necessary and/or recommended to upgrade any of the wire harness leading to the headlamps? I only ask because some people had problems with one being dim, I was thinking some nice new [heavier gauged] wires all run to the lights would fix that right up. If I did go about doing this, I would really only need to run wires from the headlight relay fuses to the lights, right? Or would there be more to it than that?

Can't wait to get these on and get rid of these crappy stock headlights!

I had a 9004(stock bulbs) plug nnplay hid kit before I installed tv vw projectors....once the projectors were installed I kept the orignal hid kit attached to the stock harness and just ordered differnt bulbs for the hid kit ( since all hid kits use the same connectors)to fit the vw projectors... This way I didn't have to cut anything... And the beam pattern IS NOT a staight cutooff with the projectors I got... Sort of weird but wayyy brighter than any bummer on the road

I don't think I'm gonna go HID with it right away, I'll probably just leave the bulbs that come in it for now until I can afford some PIAA high beams and maybe some Silverstar lows. But the HID does sound tempting...

If I had projector lights I would def put HID into the low side. I didn't really like the H4 compatible HID bulb in the reg Tsuru reflector headlight, it threw fantastic light but the high beam was worthless, and if you have to do both with one bulb socket...well. I also noticed the HID was putting an opaque finish on my shiny Tsuru reflector so I pulled the HIDs and went back to bright halogen bulbs. But if you have the projectors, def go HID. W/o the projector headlights the beam is not as focused but you can see what my 6000K setup looked like here:

HID Conversion Kit

I'm pretty sure what I'm gonna do once I have the money is go HID lows, and then upgrade the wiring for the highbeams and run some nice PIAA bulbs. I live out in the boondocks, cops around here aren't too awful picky about stuff like that, so long I'm not brighting them and that's just rude to do anyways.
