Liuspeed's HID Projector Install pic heavy B14 200sx stock housings
Since blairellis already did a how-2 Liuspeeds HID Projector Retrofit Kit im just going to expand on his and cover the B14 200sx stock housings with plastic lens.

I installed the projectors and ran into 2 problems, in the stock housings there is a reflector holder that was in the way but a 1/2" drill bit took care of that and provided me a hole for the halo and solenoid wires to exit the housings. The other problem I have is the one relay box doesn't send any voltage to the one halo but im going to work around that soon.

Powdered Headlights Mmmmm

I just set the oven to 200* and baked the headlights for 10 minutes or untill crispy brown.

no just kidding (I figured as I had the oven on I might as well make something to eat while im doing this), I had a pair of garden gloves on and just kept pulling at the housings till they came apart (only like 5 mins) engine temps can get that hot so 200* wont damage the headlights

I took the H7 ring and popped it in the bulb opening to help hold the projector a little better before I put the nut on

I didn't bother scraping all of the gray goop out, when it was ready to be put back together I took the bulb out and popped it in the oven for 3 mins to make the old soft again, and then put some of the new gray goop on and pushed it together.

Installed

On the passenger side I removed the horn and used the mounting bolt to hold the relay box and stuck the ballast in there too and then put the horn back on.

on the drivers side I just screwed the relay box to an empty hole and then stuck the ballast next to it.

I'm a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to wiring and the harness that came with the projectors was a little lacking so I took electrical tape and wrapped up all of the ends of the loom to keep water out and to hide the wires and then I soldered the halo wires up to run off of the parking lights, but since the one halo doesn't work right I'm going to hook them up to the floating ground on the corner lights so they work with the turn signals as soon as I can get some relays.

My car has a wai so the install might be a little different on the drivers side if the stock intake is there.

Nice writeup...but whats up with the white and blue color scheme. Doesn't really match the car imo. But I like the headliner n stuff. Gonna be re-doing all my interior myself once I get the chance. I was thinking of using the same fabric the newer cars have though.

all of the white stuff is going to be covered with a carbon fiber look fabric, I was just trying something different with this car since my other car has a non metallic blue interior, With this car I'm using the metallic blue because it matches the valve cover, the white didn't turn out like I thought it would, I found a fabric that looks like carbon fiber when light hits it (its more of a holographic vinyl) I found it on a bmw forum but its $40 a yard its pretty nice

Are you going to get clear lenses for the head lights? The flutes on the inside of the stock housing are scattering your light beam all over the place.

ive been thinking all b14 headlights are the same size (well most of them) im going to order the cheap halo replacement lights off of ebay and just change the front lens out so I will have a clear lens

for the passenger side 12v i just ran a wire from the battery but i hid it underneath the radiator mount with the other wires through the loom

My headliner is like that old one. How did you take it out? did you have to take the front windshield off? Any tips on taking that moonroof sliding thingy off?

I just took all of the trim off everything and the headliner fell down, from there I laid both seats as flat as I could and then gently took the headliner board out the passenger door, then you have to pop the sunroof sliders out of the track after you loosen the bolts that hold the sunroof on, the sunroof shade slides out to the rear of the car
