haha you can make 4 gallons out of one, i also use rapid remover to remore any glue residue. Im looking for red film, you think you could get me a piece im not sure yet if i want to buy it by the roll and start this is cali lol, Its not my field i guess im more into signage and custom stickers and decals haha. Also im use to doing car wraps so im guessing headlight/tailights film installation shouldnt be that much of a difference.

Rapidtac(II) is arguably the same mixture as what I listed...But it (Rapidtac) smells better. I do vinyl signage/decals too and most ppl I know mix their own. It's a waste of money not to IMO.

99sel-r, you should make a homemade mixture and compare it to Rapidtac. Do you torch your wraps on or us a heat gun? I was thinking about trying a torch out for vinyl wraps. But it seems like a waste, since I don't do full wraps just random parts.

yeah i tried a torch but ended up burning the vinyl, so im sticking with a heat gun. I dont really see it as a waist of money, look at it from this point of view, sometimes you spend more money when you try and save money using less cost efective items, in the end i think of it like this sometimes i spend $20-$30 dollars on miscellanous stuff that i dont even use vs spending a little extra buying something that you know will work and you make that money just by making one sticker correct, you probably know what i mean. Plus how much is a gallon of rapid tac? Its around $30 for a gallon and you can make 4 gallons out of one, so thats like less than $8.00 dollars for a gallon so yo u cant beat that.

LOL ,, the torch is tricky,, did a little wrap work when I worked in racing,, it's amazing how fast and easy the vinyl molds at a much larger scale than tail lights and such.. but it does take some practice with a torch! definitely not the same as a heat gun as for the rapid tac. it's a great accelerator for the adhesive but I prefer to let the film dry through it's own process. and by letting it do that it ensures the life of product will be greater ..

when you break th cost of the rapid tac VS what I use (that I know works) I can make a gallon with a small cap full .. lol
