holly big poop! i havent found those tiny leds!!! my car is a mess from inside jeje i think ill be putting toguether all again until i find the damm led.

I had problems getting the led to stay in socket hot glue gun works great for a fix

Has anyone found the correct bulb sizes for the AC and Recirc buttons on the B14? The hazard and defrost?

I have an FSM but can't find the details on the bulbs anywhere. Several of these bulbs are out and need replacing. If anyone has a link to some that actually fit right please let me know.

Did some searching on the web and found a match for these bulbs. I just replaced the hazard, ac and recirculation bulbs.

The bulbs can be bought at radioshack. Micro Lamp, #7219. About $2 / pair.

For the hazard bulb and likely defrost you need to remove the switch by pushing it forward from the back after removing its panel. There is a tab the side of it that you have to depress to accomplish this. After that you have to CAREFULLY pry up on both bottom sides of this switch. The whole thing separates and the bulb is actually in a rectangular housing that slips on to two prongs, + and ground. Next just remove the old bulb and thread the new bulb's wires in. Tweezers are a must, these things are about the size of a grain of rice.

The AC and Recirc buttons are a little more challenging. After removing the stereo and tilting the AC control panel for access you have to first disconnect the wire harnesses that connect to the switches. Pull straight forward on the colored buttons to remove them. Next the switches must come out. For this the front cover housing needs to be removed by the tabs on top and bottom. Then partially remove the the face cover so the switch will be able to come out when pulling it forward. To accomplish this you have to use a flat screw driver to free up a tab on the back top of the switch. Very hard to get to! The bulb housing just screws in from the top of the switch. After removing just thread new bulb in again.

Superbrightleds.com sells some Neo-wedge led bulbs that I think would also work for the AC/recirc as well although I haven't tried them to be sure. For those you would want the Neowedge 3mm Neo3-x bulbs.

Got a real RadioShack part number? They have no idea what 7219 is at three stores I called.

wait..so the hazard button and rear defrost button are supposed to light up? just like the a/c controls and such?? i didnt know that..(mine have never worked..i just assumed they didnt light up)

only thing i didnt like about doing the amber bulb is the blue portion of a/c control is dim due to the bulb color, but evrything else is brighter. i know most people wont like it, but i thought of doing something unique instead of regular white replacements and as i said before im a huge longorns fan so thought i do an orange and white theme on my car

OH wow didn't think ambers would not show blue, that kinds sucks .

me either, i thought since its way brighter it would have showed, no biggie though, i know what is what
