I did this mod on my b13, but I used the purple wire in the steering column and attached it to the parking lights that way. Classics are m0ore primitive that way, but whatever works, right? Get some amber paint on those fogs and you'll see the improvement even more so.

First off, I have a GXE and it came prewired for fogs. The only item I needed was the turn signal stalk with the foglight switch (also prewired).
I just did this mod in a slightly different way. I deleted the extra wire method by pulling the harness wires out of the loom behind the passenger headlight. You will find the red with blue stripe wire and two pink with blue stripe wires. I cut the red/blue wire in half then found out which pink/blue wire needs to be cut. One of the pink/blue wires goes to the passenger headlight socket and the other (the one needed) goes to the foglight relay terminal 1. I cut the pink/blue and put heatshrink around the unused end. I stipped both ends of the red/blue wires and tinned them. I also stripped and tinned the end of the pink/blue wire. I soldered all three together and also heatshrinked the solder point. I tucked everything back into the loom and now you don't have an extra wire showing, making it look OEM.
