Problem.
Hey,

I was just trying to do this modification to my B14, and I finished everything according to the way you explained your writeup. Now, the problem is that my fog lights never turned on. I checked the fuse, and it burnt. I checked, and it's the correct fuse that is supposed to be there.

I put a new fuse in, and when I turned on my fog lights, the new fuse burnt also. I have no idea what the problem is. When I switch on the fog lights, I do hear a clicking noise coming from the relay box. Could it be the relay, that something went wrong with it? I need help, because it is ticking me off. Thanks in advance!

It probably is the relay, maybe it is sending too much current to the fuse?

Damn, but a factory relay that has been there all its life? Can the relay be burnt or just not working anymore? Maybe it's a short curcuit? How hard is it to find?

A friend of mine once burnt 5 of the same relays in one day because of a short. So check to make sure there are no shorts in your wires

Oh, so don't tell me that I have to go through the fog light wires to see if it got burnt at all, do I? Lets say it is a short somewhere on the wire, do I have to run new wiring? Thanks a bunch.

I honestly can't say that I know for sure. First of all its a B14 right hehe?

You should get more responses if you post up a question in the Electrical area. I'm not too familiar with the whole wire deal yet.

Now if someone dares to say why did I do this writeup then, well I followed the direct instructions from SE-R net and just made pictures and worded things my way.
