B15 vs P11 Front Suspension and Weights
I've been curious on how much heavier the P11 (P10 too) front multi-link suspension then the standard Sentra Macpherson setup is.

Please read Moto IQ's MacPherson vs Multi-link technical comparison, if you are curious to see why one is better then the other.

MacPherson Strut Suspension
Weight: 27lbs per side, 54lbs both sides

I don't have the OEM strut, oem weight's shouldn't be to far from the Tein Basics.

Turning is done by the top hat

Multi-link Shock Suspension
Weight: 45lbs per side, 90lbs both sides

Turning is done at the knuckle, the shock does not move, it also does not support the weight of the car.

There is also a third link, this helps keep negative camber when suspension gets under load.

Total weight difference is 18lbs per side and 36lbs for both sides.

Ohhh yeah, Nissan Multi-link is similar to the Honda double wishbone. Under hard turning Macpherson struts will gain positive camber, which is bad for traction. While Multi-link will give it negative camber.

Mike Kojima explains both suspension types on page 5 of The Ultimate Guide to Suspension and Handling: Part Six, Adding Negative Camber

I suggest you read the whole article too though .
