*Update*
Ok so after the O2 sensor install, my gas mileage did not get better right away. I was thinking that my ECU would adjust after the battery reset, but that was not the case. Weird thing is that my gas mileage did not get better until I installed the BC2's and rewired the factory wires of the MAF back together. Then I went from 215 to 270 on my last tank. .

Also, those changes were made on half a tank and I noticed the needle going down slower right away. I also had a few more spirit runs than normal due to my cam install jejeje . I'm thinking that I will get over 300 miles this next tank as I have not been going on 3000k just to see what kind of gas mileage I can really get. I still need to get a front end alignment and probably some new tires soon. If my car keeps this up, I might see around 325+.

Is that City or highway or mixed?

What power are the BC2 cams good for?

^Mixed.

^N/A about 10-15whp. From 5000k-7400k is where the goodness comes in. Under that, my car feels a lot smoother driving through the city and the powerband is not as aggressive which seems to put less stress on the motor in terms of helping my gas mileage. I'm just speculating, but that's just my opinion as of right now. That was a drastic miles per tank jump from the changes been made at the half way point. Maybe it was just the MAF ground .

^3000k TEST: - I've been driving my car under 3k to see what kind of gas mileage I can really get. I can drive at about 62-64MPH on the interestate and still keep my car at 2900K. I've went beyond it a couple of times, but not pass 4k. I'm looking to get about 315-325 on this tank from mixed driving. I just dropped past the first line and I'm at 110 miles.

Keep in mind that driving under 3k wont necessarily yield you better MPG's. In my experience it would yield me same if not worse numbers. Reason is, your outside of the max torque range, thus you have to use more gas to make up for it.

You want to be as close to the max torque as possible while daily or highway driving. You can say that's the engine's most efficient range.

My personal gas mileage went from 27 MPG Highway back to 33 MPG after installing O2 sensor with the SSAC header.

- Well from my experience thus far, it has been the opposite of what you have said. Everybody motor is different, and I'm getting great gas mileage so far from this test. I'll be back at 7400k real soon, just trying something different. If I get 300+ this tank and was only getting 2XX, I say that is better in my book.

True, but what matters more is how you get to that 3k rpm. If you grandma it to 3k then it should be worse then if you quickly get up to 3k rpm. I know that's contrary to the popular belief, but that's what I noticed form my tests/scan gauge. Plus it's a lot easier for the engine to spin up 1st and 2nd gears, then to put it in 3rd gear and try to get to speed up.

- I guess the best way to describe my driving would be like I'm breaking in a clutch. Not to fast and not to slow. Just normal city driving. I guess I will report back when I'm done and take a pic of the miles I got from a full tank. My pic won't lie. Not sure where you got your info from, but every gas tip that I have read says that easying off the gas pedal will save on gas. I did this test on my GA16DE like 6 years ago and got 350 from a full tank. Not sure what you are doing wrong, but your theories do not pertain to me.

Proof 300+

^From my last tank. I knew that I was going to get over 300 miles on this tank, so I decided to take it to 7400k a few times once the needle went below the 2nd to the last line. I'm sure I could have gotten 325 out of this tank and this mileage was made with a horrible alignment up front. More adjustments and better gas mileage to come.

i hope you're not running your tank down til it's nearly empty. lol. if so, better hope your fuel filter is doing it's job.:o
