Dc what size gauge was the wire you ran to the intake manifold?

They carry the elusive & for some reason, now hard-to-find torpedo connectors...
The connectors are great for future disconnecting the O2 sensor. Highly recommended!
(Blade sleeve connectors w/plastic covers will also work in a pinch. )

Some smaller hardware stores also carry the torpedo connectors too..

Yes we have pep boys down here, They are good for some odd items that you can't find at other auto stores around here. I just finished this yesterday and reset the computer Scotty. I also regrounded those ground points near the headlights to the intake manifold on my B14. For the first time I noticed my idle actually hit 900 rpms, it usally stays up near 1000 rpms. I do like those grey twist connectors that came with the 02 sensor if I could find those I will use them in any future projects involving electronics.

Its amazing the improvements at idle and smoothness while driving from just applying these 2 mods (O2 sensor mod & MAF mod).

As for those grey twist connectors, they are a Bosch Only product. They are special made to withstand the heat & elements (just like the special material they use on the O2 wire jackets). i couldnt find those connectors anywhere. And Bosch wont sell them separately from the kits... If you source them, please let me know..

wow, it took me 3 days to read this entire thread but this is something ill be doing next..my NX has HORRIBLE gas mileage...even after changing the transmission from my popout to one witha functional fifth gear...im pretty sure i have an ssac header even though its old as piss and oxidized somehow i tihnk its SS , its not quite rusted just looks like hell on the surface

NX's with Poor gas mileage can be caused by many things:
- Bad or cheap gas (try a tank of Shell or Exxon)
- Old or weak ground O2 sensor
- Vacuum leaks or misrouted vacuum lines
- Timing, idle and/or TPS not set correctly or accurately
- Bad/weak injector(s)
- Bad/weak Engine/sensor grounds
- Tuning items require replacement (plugs, wires, plugs, PVC, rotor, cap, fuel filter)
- Clogged or dirty IACV/AAC, EGR/EGR pipe, and/or Throttle body/butterfly
- Weak or worn-out or weak grounded MAF
- Exhaust leak
- Heavy foot...
All of the above will cause poor gas mileage...
You just check everything per FSM and bring each item within spec.
Your DVM is your best friend here..
But this applies to all SR20s and not just NXes..

o2 sensors a good culprit
vacuum...dont honestly know how to route them...i think its done right...
timings at like 17 i think, idles about 950 , tps? dont know how to set it properly i just left it alone
injectors...theyre from like 3 different rails haha
maf is regrounded
iacv/aac is prolly dirty as all hell, egr removed with nissport plates, just cleaned TB 2 weeks ago
exhaust leaks down where the cat used to be, i ordered a flexpipe for it this week ,(downpipe doesnt have one), and actually i foudn one of the welds on my header is cracked
heavy foot, at least twice per tank hehe
