I never grounded my MAF there and it worked fine right to the chassis. But I got some other issues coming up now so it's going to be sitting for the week. When I come home this weekend I'll try the manifold if that don't work I'll go get another sensor.

I have a code reader also lol so no need to go to an autozone

If you have a code reader, why are you disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU??

Your response explains why you are having problems...
You dont listen to good advise!!
We have posted results from testing different grounding configurations..

The purpose of the MAF mod is to put the MAF on the same grounding plane as the ECU...
The purpose of the O2 sensor mod is to also put the O2 sensor on the same grounding plane as the ECU...
This improves the signal input from both AND equalizes the grounds of all sensor inputs used by the ECU...

What are you not getting here??
My MAF ground is at .001v connected to the Intake Mani. What is yours?
Just do it YOUR way... As you said, it works fine... It may work but just not as good...
But, you are getting a CEL... And noone else here is getting that..

Good luck!

I see what your talking about, I did not know that is why everyone was grounding it there. I thought it was just a good place to ground. My bad and I will redo the grounds as soon as I get time, but like I said I have more important issues like my brake pedal going to the floor for some reason now :/ This car is just a pain in the ass and it's tempting me to put it up for sale.

So I regrounded the 02 sensor to where you said and deleted the code...took it for a drive and it came back up. Now what?

Yep. But thats cool.. All cars are a PITA but you either pay to fix it or learn to do it yourself.. The forum helps you learn how to do it properly the 1st time!! Put it up for sale and start all over... You will regret that later as you find that it requires maintenance and fixes too.. Cars are mechanical & require fixes; get use to it! New cars are worst but you have a warranty & the dealer fixes it (sometimes for weeks) and you have a monthly note!!

As for your brakes, check for leaking brake fluid at each wheel and around the master cyclinder... Fluid is leaking somewhere...

As we said earlier, you probably fried that O2 sensor or have it wired wrong. Probably fryed.. Just go get another one and everything will be fine.

Did you check for loose wires?? Can you pull out any wires? Most people dont screw down the connection inside of the junction box and they come loose.. Pull on each wire on both sides of the junction box and insure they dont come out...

lol I'm going to school for automotive so I gotta get use to it lol I've just put so much time and money like the simple stuff I just don't wanna deal with anymore haha (why i'm taking it to get the power steering pump replaced) lol

AND I think I fixed it! There was a blown fuse in the car area so i replaced it and seems like my wideband is actually reading correctly now 14-15 idle, still jumping to 17 but it comes back down, didn't have it running long enough to see if it came back on but seems like it shall be ok!

Thanks for all the help and Vadim for helping me realize it was a fuse! which I should've check in the first place haha

Oh snap! Which fuse was it?

Your car should run MUCH better now too, esp since the wideband started reading better numbers.

It was the last column on the right and there were 2 10amp fuses it was the top one. Don't remember what it said haha I just knew the heater 02 part was 10amp

Yeah it's working better, definatly feel safer now! Now to fix my damn brakes! lol

So Vadim/scotty was there a hp or tq increase or just a noticeable increase throttle response alone?

No real HP or TQ increase.

This mod really improves & produces a stronger O2 signal which the ECU converts into better gas mileage, smoother throttle response, and steadier idle. Also helps with State Emissions testing..
