so does it matter where the 2 white wires go? Some reason I keep getting a heater 02 code coming up. I didn't think it mattered. maybe it does?

Maybe I got the signal wire got wired backwards, have to check that out tomorrow.

Yeah i saw that, then why would I be getting a heater code for it then?

You will get the heater code if you have wired it incorrectly.
You should fix this immediately to avoid damage to the O2 sensor.

As Scotty has mentioned, if you wired it incorrectly you will get a code, and you will blow a fuse. Once you fix the wires, then change out the fuse

That should have been the cause, UNLESS you didn't wire it to your original OEM O2 sensor. Since we know Nissan didn't make up their mind on colors until about 1998, colors do not mean anything.

From what I've seen, 1998+ should be black to black, white to white. My original OEM 99 one had two whites and one black in the center.

That's what I did just don't know if the black was in the center. I assumed :/

I just did this last week. I thought the VE ran great, but now it's truly alive. It ran like crap by comparison!!! Night & day difference. Good find.

The sensor that this replaced was less than 6 months old.
