I did a search on the forum and info on regrounding the O2 does not come up. Is this priveledged dash info?

Yes sir, no one even thought about this, until DC Scotty mentioned it in one thread.

So that we wouldn't thread jack that one thread, I created this one.

So yeah this is one of the first bash exclusive findings

question, i just changed my O2 sensor earlier this week with a denso 3-wire. i just bought my ve'd nx from domiken recently and it has a "cheap, older" de header on it. my question is are all headers made from stainless? if so would it be worthwhile to do this conversion? pic of the header below.

I think I see some rust on the header, if it is rusting, then it's not a stainless steel header haha.

I would try to check the voltage resistance, with a voltage tester. Not 100% exactly sure on how to go about doing that though haha.

That header is fine as is.. Your current 3-wire O2 sensor should work as designed and you will not benefit much from this mod. All OEM and non-stainless headers will not benefit from this mod (as the improvements are minimal).

cool i don't feel so bad, thanks for the info. i'll have to definitely remember this though when i get new headers. this should definitely be a sticky.

no it's an old DE header. domiken couldn't recall the actual brand. it's soon to be replaced though, the primaries don't line up and it's not 2.5".
