Thread: Regrounding the O2 Sensor

I checked tps recently and the voltage was exactly right, maf has been properly cleaned with ect, car dies when you disconnect it whilst running so I know that it's working perfectly

On my o2 sensor side plug, the wires are white,black,white. Black being signal in the middle. But on the harness side the colors go white,white,black... is this right??

Is that the original OEM harness? If so then just match the colors.

Its all original as far as I know atleast... I don't know why it would be different from plug to plug.. I just do want to fry something..

How are you checking the sensor side? Last time I checked they were wires in a circle.

If your not sure, use a DVM.

Just going off wire color, havnt had a chance yet to do any testing. Just figured someone with a b13 would know or take a quik peek at their plug for me.

found out yesterday that the 15727 is the universal replacement for the rear p11 sensor. So maybe you could cut the the plug off a pll to have a plug and play setup. instead of soldering in the 15727 just get a rear o2 for the p11.

15727 is a universal replacement for all of the SR20 FWD cars.

Even if you get the rear P11 one, you have to extend the wires, and get a new plug.

Also you can't solder OEM sensors, they generally come with what seems like aluminum or ss wires. Just crimp them and be done with it.

i understand that. i was saying u could get the oem car side plug off the p11 and then you only have to extend the ground wire and rest would be plug and play.

Gotcha, something to keep in mind OEM plugs cost 50% more usually simply because they have the right plug
