This I guess is your 3rd main routing option. With the extra bung, I don't see why one would go with this route. If you didn't have the extra bung it would make sense to maybe do it this way. Otherwise I think you're not making use of the extra provision.

Ben you are a gentleman

Im not running extre g forces, so option with a catch can is the best option. Ill run the can, see how much gunk im getting in there, and if none, then ill get rid of it.

And If I dont want to install the new bung on the valve cover, then:

-running a line from the crank case to a catch can
-from the valve cover to the catch can
- and then from the catch can to the intake

is also a possibility, but you reckon that adding the extra bung is beneficial?

See my post above.

Also, yes the extra bung is quite nice. It allows better routing options. It is similar to the S15 setup in novelty. Without it, see my post above agreeing with your assessment.

Yep thanks heaps mate, will post a pic when its all finally done. Im gonna get my catch can with 8AN fittings from Saikou Michi Oil Catch Can Tank Company as they are reasonably price and well made and have proper baffling in them.

Still not 100% on if Ill add the bung or not, I suppose without it I will have 2 lines going the catch can which can look messier or cooler depending on how you do it!

Ben another development in my quest to have the best system lol!

I have come across an S13.5 valve cover for sale for a very cheap price:

Would this be the idea option, but just running a catch can between the connection between the valve cover and the intake? Would be less hassle and cleaner than welding my existing one, plus this one looks mint!

And with the baffling of the later motors, is it a possibility that a catch can isn't necessary?

You've got the idea, yes. All your assumptions are on point. Lucky find!
