Not sure if this will help you out or not. Found this on the old forum. Post #6 more specifically has the S3 cam lobe measurements.

Edit: Same time post. Glad you found it. Glad you didn't just have B13 Highport cams as I read some people were sold pixie dust thinking they had S3's!

thanks again man, but i already measured them. They are S3 cams.

edit, just saw your edit.. lol

i had a highport 91 SE-R and could tell the difference when i put these in. i knew they were aftermarket, but wasn't 100% certain that they were S3's

I have found these cams for FWD SR20DE engines.

Tomei Poncam #1 256* 0.453”

Tomei Poncam #2 260* 0.441”

Tomei Procam #1 260* 0.472”

Tomei Procam #2 270* 0.492”

Kelford 187-A 258* Intake 266* Exhaust 0.413”

Kelford 187-B 272* 0.433”

Kelford 187-C 280* Intake 272* Exhaust 0.453”

Im lost. Im trying to measure my VVL cams. They has to be SR16VE cams according to seller, but i just cant compare my measurments to the cam list.

IN low ~37.4 mm
IN high ~38.6 mm

EX low ~36.5 mm
EX high ~38.6 mm

Can anyone help me?

by no means am i sure this is all you do to measure lift, but i think you gotta do a little basic math.

1) measure the tallest part of the lobe (presumably what you already did)

2) from the tall part of the lobe, shift your micrometer 90 degrees and measure the shortest part of the cam lobe to get the base circle.

3) Subtract measurement in step 2 from the larger # found in step 1.


I think there is more to it. but one measurement is definitely not enough

Thanks, i was using good formula, but measuring wrong base circle... my bad.

tallest lobe height minus shortest lobe height x 1.6 = lift

Updated first post with some new cam sizes, apparently the Sentra and G20 roller rocker cams are different.

ROLLER ROCKER CAMS
G20 2000-2002:
INTAKE - .370" (9.4) LIFT / 232º DUR - EXHAUST - .346" (8.8) LIFT / 240º DUR - OVERLAP - 8º

Sentra 2000:
INTAKE - .339" (8.6) LIFT / 240º DUR - EXHAUST - .362" (9.2) LIFT / 232º DUR - OVERLAP - 9º

Sentra 2001:
INTAKE - .370" (9.4) LIFT / 240º DUR - EXHAUST - .346" (8.8) LIFT / 232º DUR - OVERLAP - 9º

So a 2000 Sentra Exhaust cam paired with a 01 Intake came would be the best? Or G20 Exhaust?

For boost I would say 00 exhaust cam and G20 intake or 01 intake cam. Though this is just numbers, no real life results yet
