Perhaps I should try the Altima Prop valves. I think that may help. I don't remember the B15 having the same setup of MC, but I could be wrong.

by saying: "I don't remember the B15 having the same setup of MC, but I could be wrong." what do you mean, exactly?

I'm assuming you are considering putting the B15 MC on your car to get the proper bias, but you aren't sure if it will mount up because it's a different "style" of MC??

What size wheels do you have to use for this?

I'm using 17" Rays 57c wheels. The B15 MC looks a bit different. Which is why I think a lot of people go with the altima MC since the hookups are the same.

I'm not debating using the B15 MC, but just the prop valves off of one. Or just use a little more aggressive brake pad on the front. But that is just a bandaid.

I finally plan on upgrading brakes

Wilwood 11" big brake kit, 4 piston calipers, two piece drilled and slotted rotors.
Altima MC
SS brake lines
Hawk pads

Sticking with the stock rears and hawk pads and ss lines.

Figure it would make a good all around brake setup for track, street and so on.

I just installed this week that brake setup and it brakes awesome!!

I got:
Wilwood dynalite calipers
11" drilled and slotted rotors
Hawk brake pads(dont know what type)
Rear stock with nishimbo brake pads
SS brake lines
U13 MC
ATE racing blue brake fluid.

It brakes really hard and i think i need bigger rear brakes to get it balanced.

This is how this setup look against AD22VF setup:

Reviving this thread in lieu of the upcoming convention since my car is sitting in my garage for 2 more months probably. I was looking for recommendations specific for my car:

1992 Sentra SE-R
HP/TQ: 210HP, 168 ft-lbs (at wheels - full VE swap w/ almost every bolt on)

Current brake setup:
Front: full NX2000 upgrade w/ x & slotted front rotors
Rear: stock (rotors need to be replaced soon)
Lines: Goodridge stainless steel
Brake Fluid: Genuine Nissan heavy duty
Pads: Old stoptechs that need replacing soon

Other:
Wheels: 15" Rota Slips streams (12.6lbs per wheel)
Tires: Unknown at this time. Will be getting a new set in the spring, something good, 205/50's
Weight of car: 2,000 lbs without driver. No power steering, no A/C, rear spoiler, no sunroof, all sound deadening tar removed, stripped interior except for two front seats, dash, door panels and stereo

Was looking at these pads:

http://thmotorsports.com/carbotech/carbotech_xp10_brake_pads/ct511xp10/i-242168.aspx in the description of the pads, it says: "Due to the high level of friction and bite, this material is recommended for cars weighing around 2,000lbs or more, not including formula cars and cars with brake bias bars weighing less than 2,000lbs."

The stoptechs I had on the car for the last 2 years are OK but nothing spectacular. I have a feeling I need to upgrade. Pedal feel is good though and the front rotors are in excellent shape. They're about 18 months old. The rear rotors need to be replaced as last time I replaced the pads they were quite thin. Any reason I shouldn't just go with a set of new OEM's? Should I bother with slotted?

This is my "track car" and it's rarely driven more than once a week except for SCCA events both auto-x and track, occasionally at the drag strip and, occasional Honda Hunting' (lol) and of course this years convention.

Storm -

If you have not seen the whole line up if Carbotech friction materials, here is a good summary:

Carbotech Performance Brakes

I have run the Panther Plus (which is now called the AX6) on my SE-R with VE upgrade and NX2000 brakes for many years. I have driven autocross, track days, and street applications and found the performance to be outstanding in all cases. Note that the operating temperature range for the AX6 goes down to 50*F, so this allows them to work well for street and autocross. They do, however, produce a fair amount of dust. I don't get any squeal, though some folks do on the street. I have never experienced any fade on the track at Summit Point (either track) or Beaver Run.

Given that you are asking about the XP10, which is 2 levels above the AX6, I'm thinking that you might want to consider the XP8 for your application (or maybe even the AX6). Read the descriptions provided by Carbotech with an eye toward drivability on the street as well as the track and think about the fact that you are going to need a pad that works well in both applications. As I said, I have used the AX6 on a similar set up to yours (but note that my car is stock weight and yours appears to have been lightened.)

Overall, I have found the AX6 to to be a suitable compromise for street and track driving that avoids the need to swap pads and rotors for track use.

With respect to your rear setup, I don't see any need for slotted rotors. You should use a pad that is a slight upgrade from stock for durability and a small increase in bite to better match the fronts, but do not go for a real high operating temperature range because your rear brakes won't get hot enough to access that range. You also want to stay away from a pad that gets super grippy in the rear because this might cause your car to get tail happy under braking on the track.

I hope that this info is useful.

Enjoy the ride.

I run Carbotech XP10 on NX brakes in the front of my rally car and XP8 in the rears on Maxima brakes, with a fully adjustable balance bar, and no power assist.

These pads need a lot of heat to work well. Even just driving on the highway for a couple of miles will drop them below good operating temps and you'll find that they won't bite when you go to use them. They dust like hell too.

Racing though, they're amazing.

For any kind of a street driven car I wouldn't go past the AX6.

This is like a repeat of my thread from last year...lol

Theres some good info in there and some very similar replies, too! @billc haha thanks!

I did end up getting xp8 and Motul Fluid and they were more brakes than I will ever need at my skill level.
basically the same setup as you on my nx..200whp NX brakes, etc.
