yup, the turbo I got was the 3071, it has the T04E compressor housing, GT2871 compressor wheel the big 56 trim(71mm), and the LARGE 90 trim (56.5mm) turbine...I'll have it on by the end of today!! Hopefully its not hailing by the time I go for a test-drive..

The APT GT3076 (compact) seems to be a Garrett GT3076 fitted with a regular T28 Turbine with internal wasgate. Remember Garretts sells the GT3076 without the turbine. So you can fit any T28 turbine with or without internal wasgate.

No, incorrect, if you buy the GT307* turbo w/o exhaust housing it has a 60mm turbine, the 3071 and 3076 that use the T25 housing have a smaller 56.5mm turbine...

^^ 60mm is an option with a t2
housing.

ATP makes/sources their own turbine housings (and sometimes compressor housings) to pair with Garret center housing [and] rotating assemblies which strictly speaking are not completely "Garrett" turbos, and Garrett has no control over what ATP names them, or how confusing they make things.

Other companies do this as well. Tial comes to mind.

These companies feel there are gaps in the market left by Garrett proper, and so they fill the gaps as they see fit. Garrett actually only supplies a very small number of complete turbo designs. A lot of what you find are 3rd party modified stuff.

(That ATP turbo listing says that is the largest internally gated turbo? That is obviously not true. Maybe it was at one time?)
