the stock b14 line can be made to fit sometimes also by using thick washers behind the compressor on the top studs holding it to the block to tilt the compressor out and get the line away from the 02 housing.

The info in this thread needs to be in a sticky in the turbo forum.

^Yes it does. I'm all about A/C.

I did do it like that before, but I removed the washers on Saturday for my NX line. I don't want to use the 99 line because its too close to the turbo, it might just melt it haha.

As for sticking, let me rename and do that

I just found one AC line on eBay for cheap...
HOSE-FLEXI :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com

Part number: 92490-68Y00

For 93 NX, I wonder if it will work..

EDIT: Never mind this is the high pressure hose, I still bought it because my current one got abused by intercooler piping.

Vad,
The NX lines will work.
But all NX AC lines are for R12 with R12 connectors.
You will need the conversion kits for R134a connections & install R134a O-Rings.

Converted my NX R12 AC lines to 1995 Sentra GXE GA16 AC lines.
The GA16 AC lines should fit perfect with the J-pipe.
Adding washers under the compressor will move the lines out further and is a good idea.
Wrapping the lines with the foam alumimum wrap found at AutoZone will also keep the lines (& your AC temp) colder.

I normally use the 1.6 line on most af the DET swaps I do, but most of the cars were 91'-92'. I just bend the line a little bit in the vise and it works perfect. I'll see if I can find a pick of my car when I had the pulsar motor in it.

^This is great! Where is the best place to get the conversion kits for R134a? Is the converison kit used to charge the system, or to hook the low and high pressure lines up to the firewall hooks and the actual A/C compressor?

^Could I just use 95-99 GA16DE A/C lines to avoid purchasing the R134a kit? I'm sure these questions will be asked, so I'll post up instead of sending a PM.

Thanks,MR

A R12 to R134 Conversion kit consists of new nipples that you screw over the old ones. They are needed to fit the R135 refilling nozzles on the bottles that you buy in the store.

I just got back from the dealership, and they didn't have the line that Will suggested (92480-64Y05). It showed up as a GA line, and was at $150.

I talked to the parts guy, and he said that I might be able to take my line to an AC shop and get it fixed. Or do what they did back in R12 days. Use two worm clamps haha. He said that R12 was higher pressure then R134 and the clamps would hold it down without a problem.
