TunerPro RT is the best program to use. It's pretty user friendly. I posted a couple of screen shots here:

not to piss anyone off or say i know more than anyone else but i would never ever build a motor that way.i would not use a digital caliper ether. i use a mic and make sure its in spec and take seval measure ments on each journal.with the method your using how would you no if its OOR.would wouldn't ,.Assembly has alot to do with how long the engines last and power.Another thing. It seems today people think blueprinting is just measuring.

another question about choosing ACL Race Main Bearings..

all they have listed on mazworx site is STD H and +0.001" there arnt any options for different grades of bearing like there are for the standard nissan ones. now a freind of mine orderd some he asked the company (not mazworx) for the grade's he needed they said you dont need to worry about grades as all the bearings come as one size. is this true are ACL bearings one size fits all? if so how?

yes thats correct.

Its just the way that are.

Nissan are so anal in production because they have to take into account their tolerances of a mass produced engine may be wrong.

ACL's std grade covers i think grade 1-3 at the very least. The it jumps up a fair wack.

Yes, and no. ACL actually has two different sizes. They have the STD (Standard), and they have oversize. If your crank has been cleaned up due to prior surface damage by bearing wear, ACL will sell you the oversized bearings. If your crank has never been re-turned for any reason, the STD will work fine. They also have three different sets of bearings. OEM replacements would be Duraglide series for the Nissan motors, and Aftermarket (Higher grade Equivelent) would be Race series. They also make Aluglide bearings, which are rather new (though old technology) to the market. Something to do with global awareness and lead free design blah blah blah. You wouldn't want to rebuild a motor with them, that much I'm sure

ACL's STD grade covers 0-3, correct. Technically, though, Nissan isn't NEARLY as anal as Honda is when it comes to being anal with production Ask any Honda owner why he uses 10w30 as gear oil in his transmission, and it doesn't break on him with 500whp.

Swiss, Dre,

You should look into Tuner Pro RT v5. It's in beta right now, but it's a lot cleaner than v4 is.

TunerPro and TunerPro RT - Professional Automobile Tuning Software

Oh, and if you're using the RTv2, you'll need TunerPro v5.

well thats certainly intresting.. so you just buy a set and throw them in.. still feel abit uneasy about doing that.. i would hve thought you would want a good fit if your using it for racing.. but if thats what everyones using and there arnt any problems then sweet

Sounds Outrageous to me.. but like you said Ian, if everyone's using them problem-free, then they must be alright!
