choosing bearings
right i want to drop a RR 2.0 crank in my 16ve..

so if i take the numbers off the crank :-

then take the numbers of the block

and run them through here..

i should end up with the right sizes..

so going on this pics if i were using this engine with that crank shown i would need :-

34343 bearing sizes.. (editeddue to me being a numpty)

is this correct? if so why isnt there a thread with this info on i couldnt find one

Mains #s on crank are 23222

Mains #s on block are 11121

So the bearings #s you need to get are 34343

Please take a look at that chart and ask the question again. It is as clear as day.

Uhhh... Is this a RR only thing or?

I replaced my main bearings using just the numbers on the crank. Is this a problem?
Do you take both numbers into account only when you install a crank from a different motor?

I'm starting to feel like the FSM let me down in this area.
I'm starting to think I'm fuсked.

This is for all SR motors

Yep you have a problem

Nope, this is done with all crank and rods, both number must be used/

Yes there is.

There are numbers that tell you which hole the rod came out of and there are numbers that tell you what size the bearing hole is. You have to follow the same thing to do the rods.

Your crack has the rod jounals as ( 2221 ) so if your rods have ( 1111 ) then your bearings will be ( 3332 ) or lets say your rods are ( 0000 ) then your bearings will be ( 2221 ).
