That could be a big one or might not have any affect at all. The fact that my car got 33 MPG highway with just an intake last year, told me that the engine is in fine enough working order, because thats EPA numbers.
Now my City mileage has always been in the 18-20MPG area. So I'm thinking a vacuum leak could be in the Emissions system. This would explain why highway mileage would not be affected because you use up all the gas and it doesn't have a chance to just evaporate like it would when the car is just sitting.
Reason I say that is, when my car is down for couple days and nights, the arrow kinda goes down a little by it self...

That is true, I would just spend the buck and get NGK's.

Thats not 100% true, most people experience terrible results with Bosche Platinum +2 plugs. Almost every single technical SR person has told me to never use Bosch Platinum plugs in our engines.
But in my personal experience with my engine, Bosch Platinum +2 plugs have gotten me the most power and the best MPG.
Yesterday I beat on the car a lot, I'm talking about hitting the redline 6+ times, and sometimes keeping at redling for couple seconds so that I could get a BHP ratting from the ScanGauge.
Alright so the numbers hehe.
I got 198 BHP at 98* incoming intake Air Temperature. That means that the air that was going into the engine was 98*. Rule of thumb is, the hotter the air the worse performance...
As for gas mileage. I drove for 51 miles, city only (stop and go/lots of idling). Beat on the car. And only fueled up 2.3 Gallons of gas.
That gives me a spanking 22MPG. Which is way impressive for City only and how much I floored the car.
So something about my engine and not liking NGK plugs
