Is that for NA or Boosted?

I looked the 99 SE-L on NGK's website and they said BKR5EIX-11. But I got a feeling they would be too hot.

I'm talking to Dave from Sonic Spark Plugs, I think I will be getting the BKR5EIX-11's or the BKR6EIX-11's, with his patented technology.

Now I kinda wish I could get a normal set and his set and then compare them both to see if his technology actually works...

I bought 7e's at O'Reillys last weekend, I paid 1.58 each.

damn thats a good price, i got mine from nissan and they were i believe almost 3.00 each, i will have to check them out

I went ahead and ordered the IX Iridium BKR5EIX-11 Sonic Spark plugs. They will be custom made and then shipped to me.

I will test them out for Performance and MPG gains. I wish I would have a dyno available to try them out though

I've just installed a set of NGK BKR7EKU's.



So far they seem good.

I was running BKR6EIX-11 which I have had for over a year and 45,000km. They performed good untill recently when I developed a misfire under load. Number 1 and 4 looked perfect, but 2 and 3 both had brocken porcelan and had melted tips. I suspect this was caused by detonation though rather than any fault with the plugs. Up untill last week the car had been running lean due to a tuning isue, but has now been retuned.

BKR7E's in a 10 pack at rockauto.com and you get them for like $1.20 each or something!

Well if anything I think my car is running rich then lean, so I should be fine haha.

Couple weeks ago I ordered some Sonic Spark Plugs in Iridium IX flavor (BKR5EIX-11).

Now these plugs have a hole drilled in the ground electrode. When a spark is sent it hits that hole, produces a spark and sends and ultra sonic sound that breaks down the fuel for a better combustion.

I will be testing these plugs out to see how they feel when driving and with gas mileage and compare to the other spark plugs that I have.
