Ok, bringing this one to life. Since I live in an area where it is cold, I have been seeing more and more guys who are breaking ceramic pieces off of their plugs when going in to boost rapidly. After trying to figure it out, I have come to the conclusion that heat may be cracking the ceramic on the plugs caused by extreme changes in heat.

So I have been looking for something that won't break, but that leaves us with very little options. I have looked at racing plugs that have no ground electrode, and nearly no ceramic. That looks good, they use them in race boats. I figured I would try something like that just to see if it runs in a daily. If so, it could offer some insurance for some of us.

What racing plugs are offered that fit our engines. About the coldest I have seen is the bkr8eix. That seems like a really good plug, but I want to see what others are available.

Coheed, are you guys running BKR7E's currently?

Maybe RX8 plugs would work? $20 a plug FTL though...

I am running The BKR7e vpower plugs at the moment. I have had them be the most reliable so far. When I get the car when I want it I will go back to iridiums. They had way better response, and the car felt a lot smoother.

Those plugs look really good, but I just wonder if turbo apps will be able to generate a spark on a 1.0mm or larger gaps lol.

Seriously those racing plugs just look like side gape plugs and that's all. Coheed look into side gaping, I got 7whp over stock BKR7E's on the dyno last Saturday...

I have side gapped plugs in there now. But one of the ceramics broke off of one and went into the cylinder. Looking for something that won't do that.

Hmm gotcha, well in that case you might just have to try those expensive plugs. Seems like it's cheaper to get Pulstars
