That is crazy. I just put in a set of bkr7eix today. While gapping them i broke the tip off the center electrode on one. Which is weird because my gap tool doesn't even touch the center piece.

I didnt think about indexing them. I have to try that! I will try tomorrow. Hopefully the gasket isn't too smashed up to do it right.

Eh thats not good, well that should tell you that it would have broken off while inside your car

Yeah try out indexing, you probably wont feel it at all, especially with a VET .

i was looking and forget but what is the mod called where you shave the porcelin to a angle? i remember seeing it someone did it on a race engine but i forget what that was called, its kinda like the mod wherre you cut the plug tip back to open up the spark, i donno i forget anyone know?

I have noticed that I can boost 25psi without blowing the spark out on my iridiums gapped to .032. That is amazing.

yeah most definitly becuase i get slight break up at 10lbs with .30 on my 7es...normally i stay in the .28 range like most... i had ik24 on my turbo app and i loved them, then i messed them up, and never went back becuase of the high dollar price

Hard to say, I was having bunch of issues with car running too rich so I tried it but didn't get a chance to record ScanGauge readings.

I think I might buy 4 more BKR6E's and drive on them just indexed to the best with the original spacers, reset ECU, get ScanGauge readings, then side gap, reset ecu, get readings.

I also do want to play around with different gaps too, Side Gapping rules suggest reducing the gap by .010.

what was the reasoning behind dropping the gap .010?
