Are these $8 NGK iridium spark plugs worth it?

http://www.autozone.com/R,1930767/vehicleId,1613402/initialAction,partProductDetail/store,/partType,00033/shopping/partProductDetail.htm

Or would the $2.00 NGK Vpowers be good enough with an avenir?

It's arguable, are the $8 iridiums actually worth it, I think they might have their advantages, but you seriously can't beat the $2 per plug.

I havenĀ“t put my range 8 iridiums on my car yet... I love the copper BKR7 I got for 1.60 at Oreillys...

if you want better spark, save the $$$ on $100 plugs and put it to a cdi, and run it with some bk's

The iridium advantage: Resists wear better than PL, extrusion techniques make for a much finer and more reliable center electrode, Smaller electrode = less ionization to make a spark,

Disadvantages: cost, difficult to gap,

Bosch: Having more ground electrodes doesn't make any sense. You can only ground electricity once, the path of least resistance will always fire.

Side-gapping is awesome, but time consuming. Indexing is good for power, I have never done it.

I like the bkr7e, and I have a set of bkr7eix I will be trying out as soon as these ones take a dump.

Can't beat $2 per plug though. Good, cheap, reliable power.
Just my .02

Side-Gapping, is time consuming, unless you have a dremel, then it takes 10 minutes for all

Indexing is pretty awesome too, it is all about making the spark more efficient.

Personally I got the best MPG's to date, with BKR6E-11 Side-gapped and indexed. That got me 38 MPG highway
