Thread: B13, B14, B15 Suspension Information...

Is there any way to control understeer on the b14 without bending the rear beam? I live in the philippines and "Beam Bending" is still unknown here. (No one knows and dares to bend beam here).

I've tried racing the car in hillclimbs and circuits and the car just plows through corners. Unlike those civics which can take the corner at full speed.

I'm now in the dilemma of changing to a b13 but I've spent so much on the car and I can't afford the extra cost at the moment.

advises would be very much appreciated.

@bertoo1960 , unfortunately I highly doubt that physics will crumble to anyone's will or desire to make the factory setup of a B14 stop understeering. I tried and failed pretty miserably for various reasons.

Your car looks great, I must admit to that. Unfortunately, all I can recommend is changing the chassis to a B13 or P10 and have at it. You can change over alot of your race car stuff from the B14 to the B13 or P10. (P10 has more changes of course)

I hope some of that helps, but without removing the factory Scott Russel link and zero'ing out the toe in the rear, it will not be able to compete with the Civics.

He has been working on his B14 for more serious track use.
he is not on here much,but I remember him doing a writeup on some mods he made to the rear of the car to help handling.
Search him ,and his posts.He has a Blue SE-L(amongst other B13s)

What spring rates are you running front and rear? Are you limited by class/org rules?

So since the nx2000 is consider a "b13" will this suspension kit from ebay fit my car even though it's made for a sentra?

if anyone ever wants to rebuild their Koni Struts, here is some info that will help the rebuilder.

1991-1994 Nissan Sentra "red" FRONT insert (Koni part number 86-2463):
min rebound: 850 newton meters @ 75mm/sec – 84 rpm
max rebound: 1700 newton meters @ 75mm/sec – 84 rpm
compression: 450 newton meters @ 75mm/sec – 84 rpm

1991-1994 Nissan Sentra "red" REAR insert (koni part number 86-2465):
min rebound: 500 newton meters @ 13" per second
max rebound: 1000 newton meters @ 13" per second
compression: 300 newton meters @ 13" per second


Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V "yellow" FRONT insert (koni part number 8610-1409):
min rebound: 1050 newton meters @ 13" per second
max rebound 2100 newton meters @ 13" per second
compression: 450 newton meters @ 13" per second

Local Czech suspension builder Protlum offers N14 (=B13) rally coilovers for roughly 2900USD.

your inbox is full, i can't read that website to find the N14 coilovers.. can you send a link to the actual N14 coilovers? I want to see the spring and shock rates

Although its nice to have external reservoirs,I would prefer an inverted non adjustable set over that for rally!
Typically, 275lbs up front and 175lbs in rear for a b13. That set up has helper springs so the rates will be higher...
