Sorry for the late reply's guys. As for the protection.. The base board I am using now should be good enough. No grills need. But if you notice the handle's will work just as good as a means of getting the box out as well as support of the base board. Seeing that the box is sealed there really is not much cone movement like there would be with a ported box. So with that in mind there is almost 1/2" of room for speaker flex from the top of the surround to the top of the handle. If there is anything touching then I will work that out when the time comes.

*UPDATE*

Well looked and looked and looked and no one carries the threaded rod that I need for the tie down. BTW.. for all that didn't know. The OEM tie down for the b14.. don't know if its the same for all models and body styles is 8MM X 1.25". So I ended up getting the stock tie down out as well as the bracket to match up the thread pattern. Had to order a 3' rod from online. Seems NO ONE carries metric sizes. Everyone from Lowes to Napa. Go figure!?

So I decided to get some long awaited pics of what it looks like in the car. Man it sounds amazing. No rattling so far. And like I thought. The bottom deck that I made awhile back works just fine. Just needs some support on all four sides to keep it stable.








Need some minor paint touch ups on the car interior and paint the bottom of the deck plate. But other than that... its works and sounds amazing.

Thanx guys. I'm still waiting on the threaded rod to come in. Should be here on Wednesday... and thats the final piece of this I need. Sucks when not finding what you need.

Sounds amazing!!!

Had a few co-workers listen to and they really couldn't believe the amount of lows and sound I'm getting out of there little speakers. I honestly think that it hits better than the 2 RF Punch 10's I use to have and as good as 1 12".

Finally got the threaded line in the mail. And went and pick up a few nuts, washers and wing nut. So this will finally be in.. bolted down and staying in by this weekend. I can't wait. To really can't wait to get some tuning done and out on the road!!
