This is the car stereo that I have. I have the iPod wire adapter hooked right up to it and it plays my iPod perfectly fine. BUT when I try to put my friend's ipod in it, it doesn't want to detect it.

On my iPod if it's connected it says on the iPod screen "Panasonic OK to disconnect" which means that it's connected and playing. BUT on my friends iPod it keeps flashing back and forth from the iPod main menu screen and a "OK to disconnect" screen, but it doesn't say Panasonic on it like it does with mine.

Does anyone know if car stereos are only allowed to play 1 iPod?

im gonna guess ur friend has a different version ipod than you do. not all ipods work with car stereos.
