Nx Mystery Switches
These are my mystery switches I had mentioned in another thread.

#1-
A little red button next to the driver side kick panel below the hood release.

#2-
This female plug below and slightly left of the steering wheel.
Which in the other thread someone mentioned these had something to do with an alarm system...

#3-
This rocker switch is inside the cubby hole right below the AC controls...

#4 & #5-
These 2 are in the glove compartment. I believe I can make out "Bass" on the one connected to the roof of the glove box. The other button laying on the glove box floor I have no clue...

Anyone have any idea's what these could be?
A bit afraid to just push them to just find out.

1.)red button is a valet button /program switch for an alarm
2.) looks like a ground block or something.Like you could hook multiple devices grounds to it ....just a guess based on the pic
3.) toggle swirch could be anything...foglights,fans,etc...just follow the wires and that will be obvious
4and 5.) the round knob is a bass knob that adjusts gain on a subwoofer amp....the other button attached...I have no idea...again...follow the wire and see where it goes.

I was afraid you'd mention following the wires, since most are in the dash.
I hate dismantling dashes lol.

I have never had a car with an aftermarket alarm, what is exactly meant by "valet button/program switch"? Seems like an odd spot to put something like that, kinda reminds me of the silent burgular alarms stores have under their counters though lol.

if you lost the keyfob for alarm, you could push the button while you put the key in would start the car...like a backup option........thats just one feature it may do.
Other things like programming features of the alarm and also valet mode where the alarm is disabled and only does the locks like for parking the car(valet)

The dashes on these cars are really easy to take apart and put back. I can change a whole dash out in one in less than an hour easily....dont be skeeered
phillips screwdriver is almost every screw for the dash

^+1 for phillips screwdriver ...and add a 10mm socket.

#2 reminds me of an aftermarket ignition kill switch...if you pull the pin out will it still start?

The toggle in the glove box could also be for stereo system....my D21 hardbody truck had a toggle switch for the DVD player.

I can't believe you guys. What with the T-tops and all it's pretty obvious that #1 jettisons the passenger side roof panel and #2 activates the ejector seat. #3 activates either the smoke screen or the minibar, while #4 and #5 simply appear to be part of a hack stereo install.

lol some of those would be handy to have though.
I have messed with the toggle switch in the cubby hole (with the car running) and didn't notice anything at the time.
Been sidetracked with the control arm, tie rod & oil sending unit (& life in general) to do anything else.
Will probably just try messing with the buttons and see what happens sometime.
