Thread: radio issues

ok guys im not exactly a tuner lol but i know the folks on this forum are really nice so i figure y not....well i have a 99 sentra gxe....I bought a radio from a friend that he pulled from his wrecked car....the harness and all that on the radio is a new configuration and it's totally different than the one in my car....The most major issue is that my wires and the radio harness wires are 2 different sizes.....mine are way smaller...another small problem is that my radio has 2 harness clips while the radio only has one...that's easy to fix if i just strip and reconnect the wires but i don't want to do that and waste my time...the next thing is that some of the colors are different but i could always just get a mapping of the wires somewhere for the car....so wat's the take guys? do the different sizes matter? does anyone know of maybe an adapter for newer radios to b installed in the car?

Go to a car audio store and buy a harness for your car. Then match the colors from the radio harness to the radio harness. Use solder or some crimp caps to connect the wires, do not just tape.

everything's good now thanks for the advice....i decided to just go ask somewhere and i bought the harness today and wired it...everything works great
