Alarm and no start 98' 200 sx SE-R

HI folks,

Recently purchased a 98' 200 SX SE-R, owner gave me a single key (not original one) I locked car the other day using door auto lock went to open next day alarm sounded headlights blinking and would not start. I need suggestions on why this is happening and how to resolve.

factory alarm.put key in driverside door and unlock it should stop
