Help Replacing Window Motor
Long story short the previous owner put electronic windows in this 92, but they didnt work. I got spare set of window regulators but I just realized I dont even have to remove them in order to switch it back to cranks. While i was digging around in the car i found an empty fuse holder, popped in a fuse and when i pushed the switches I heard the window motors making noise however when i inspected the mechanism there that slides on where the crank does it doesnt seem to be turning (i can turn it with my fingers though) so i'm thinking perhaps the motor is dieing or just not turning the cable. Before i took all that stuff out I wanted to try and test a new motor but the problem is I have no idea where I would be to get something like this? Most I've seen on autozones website have the mechanism as part of the motor or comes with the regulator frame....below is a picture and a close of up the numbers on the side if someone could help me? Front top to bottom the numbers read (remember its upside down)

Anyone have ideas here? All the motors i see have the gear right next to and basically part of the motor. I cant seem to find any that have this length of cable coming out of the motor to the gear?

What you have is an aftermarket kit that was pretty common back in the 90's. Stereo shops usually installed them. My 94 came the same way. When it failed, I just bolted the manual crank handles back in. If you want to keep the power windows, the NX motor/regulator ASSY or the B14 200SX ASSY should work IIRC.

Then again - there is always E-Bay

Thing is, like pretty much all i've seen, the gear is like attached to the side of the motor. If you look at mine theres like a foot or so of cable from the motor to the gear. Do those exist somewhere, or did someone perhaps customize a cable to separate the gear from the motor?

Nothing custom in terms of the cables - that's the way they came back then (aftermarket)... I haven't seen one of those since '99 probably.

Turns out motors fine it was the cable that shit the bed.... And no one at auto parts or hardwares stores even know what this cable is. Can see where it snapped

So i tried rigging up something. I got a butt connected the size i could fit the to end into it and then melted the plastic ends to it and it actually worked for a second then just broke again so i either gotta some out with some other idea on how i can connect this cable back together (which isn't looking possible) or find a whole new cable (which apparently cable like this doesnt exist anymore). Maybe a speedo cable will work, it seems relatively close lol! Anyone got any ideas?
